RootTerms of Service
1. The service
Root Taxi is a technology platform that connects independent professional drivers with customers requesting rides. Root Taxi is not a transport operator; transport services are provided by independent drivers holding the required Finnish permits.
2. Pricing and payment
Ride prices are set by drivers through offers and accepted by customers before the ride begins. The accepted price is binding for both parties. Payment is made directly to the driver unless otherwise stated in the service.
3. Accounts and conduct
Users must provide accurate information and keep their credentials secure. Root Taxi may suspend accounts that violate these terms, applicable law, or the safety of other users.
4. Driver obligations
Drivers act as independent entrepreneurs and are responsible for their own permits, taxes, insurance and vehicle condition. Drivers pay Root Taxi a subscription fee or per-ride commission according to their chosen plan.
5. Liability
Root Taxi provides the platform "as is" and is not liable for the conduct of users or drivers, except as required by mandatory Finnish consumer law.
