When and how do I get paid?
Customers pay you directly in the car — card, MobilePay or cash. The money is yours immediately; Root Taxi never touches your fares.
Can I drive for other apps at the same time?
Yes. There is no exclusivity. Many drivers run several apps and shift their hours to Root Taxi once they see the difference in earnings.
Which plan should I start with?
Start with Pay As You Go — free, with 15% per ride. Once you do more than ~€1,000/month in fares, Basic (€150) becomes cheaper; for high volume or more than 150 rides a month, Unlimited Pro (€300) wins. Switch plans anytime.
Do I need my own taxi permit?
Yes — Finnish law requires every driver to hold a taxi driver's permit. We verify it during signup. Getting one is straightforward via Traficom.
